Age:

Level of Education:

•         People who have not graduated from high school receive zero points under this criterion.

Language Proficiency:

•          Express Entry application without a spouse or a partner is awarded up to 34 points on each first language ability.

Canadian work experience:

Spouse’s or common law partner Level of education:

•         Immigrants without a spouse or common law partner are eligible for more points .However if spouse accompanies for the Canada permanent resident visa, points will be awarded specifically for spouse’s attributes.
•         Educational qualification of the spouse is one of the measured factors; immigrants with highly educated spouse can be awarded 10 points in CRS sector.
•         Spouse or common law partner, who can read, write, listen and speak either English or French can gain up to 5 points in each eligibility criteria to the applicant.
•      Spouse’s work experience in the country is also a key factor in determining Express Entry eligibility.10 points will be awarded if the spouse has Canadian work experience.

Additional factors:

•     Immigrants who are entering the express entry pool can again their CRS score by being nominated by any of the province through a program called Canada Provincial Nominee program. This can be obtained by the candidate if he has received a qualifying arranged job offer or any graduation course from post-secondary educational institution. Through this provincial program candidate can gain up to 600 points.
