Saskatchewan Province Moves to Expression Of Interest System


The Saskatchewan government is trying hard and putting all needed efforts to attract a large number of migrants who can help contribute towards the economic growth of the above province and also help bridge the skill gap. That's not all; it has also come forward and made some significant changes for its program targeting the international skilled workers.

Starting from July this year, the above province is no longer accepting any application under first come, first served for its sub-category International Skilled Worker Express Entry (EE).

All those eligible candidates who are willing to migrate to this province under SINP Express Entry sub-category must create EOI (Expression of Interest) profile. After submission of the profile, it gets reviewed and a specific score gets allotted to the eligible candidates and those candidates, who get a high score on the CRS, have high chances of getting an invite to apply. After receiving an invite, they will be eligible to apply provincial nomination for Canada PR.

 ITA does not guarantee Canada PR; the candidates have to submit the required documents. After the submission, they get reviewed and only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria for Canada PR receives the status of Canada PR.

On 21st August 2018, the Saskatchewan province conducted its 1st draw and it sent nearing to 466 invitations to eligible candidates to apply for Provincial Nomination under SINP Express Entry Sub-Category.  The minimum CRS score for the draw was 360.

All those candidates who got an invite and receive a provincial nomination certificate from the above province were rewarded extra 600 points towards their Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System for Canada Express Entry.

Saskatchewan PNP: How is it beneficial for the immigrants in 2018?

Saskatchewan is one of the provinces of the country Canada. It has been very famous for allowing many professionals to get settled with great opportunities. Also, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program has been an important immigration program for many candidates. What are the eligibility restrictions for the sub-category of SINP:

•    Under the SINP point assessment grid, a score of 60 points out of 100 is required

•    If he/she is living in Canada, it is mandatory to submit legal status evidence
•    If the candidate has been entered with reference to the Express Entry subcategory, then the immigrant needs to have a Profile Number and Job Seeker validation Code under the Express Entry
•    There is a need of having a minimum CLB of 7 for the Express Entry and a minimum CLB of 4 for the Occupation in Demand Category. These language efficiency test results have to be tested by an authorized testing department
•    Need to have a minimum 1-year experience background for the post-secondary or need to have relevant training similar to the education system of Canada with a degree, or certificate or diploma
•    It is required for a candidate to have a minimum level of work experience which is related their education or getting trained in a skilled occupation which is prominent in Saskatchewan
•    The candidate has to acquire his/her Saskatchewan license if his profession is controlled in Saskatchewan
•    It is even mandatory to show enough funds with a settlement plan
•    A skilled professional has to meet any of below-listed fields:
  1. For a non-trade, he/she has to have 1-year experience in a skilled profession from his past 10 years 
  2. For a skilled trade, he has to meet 2 years of work experience in his past 5 years’ experience.
  3. A year of work background in Canada from his past 3 years’ experience; it is applicable for both trades and non-trade workers

When is the Saskatchewan Provincial Nominee Program getting launched in 2018?
The SINP has launched its previous admission during the first month of 2018 for the Occupation in Demand Category and Express Entry subcategories. There is a huge waitlist for the next SINP release.  However, the date isn’t announced for the next intake but it is more likely to be opened in the month of April or May. As 3 months have passed down, the next draw can be expected any time to get launched.

With the 310000 enormous immigration targets, there can be an expectation of getting an announcement of 55000 SINP intakes in the earliest.
